Job Title: Communications Specialist

Job Description: This role is responsible for the coordination and execution of GSA’s media efforts and support with other organizational communications. They are responsible for the communication of GSA information to the graduate student population through social media, our website, newsletters and physical signage. They manage and create content for both social media and website.

Meet Alicia: I’ve been part of the University of Waterloo community since 2018. I’m a UW alumni with a degree in Global Business and Digital Arts, I previously worked as a Communications Design Specialist in the Print and Retail Solutions department for 2 years before joining the GSA. Outside of academics, I enjoy painting and going to the gym.

If you were to choose your superpower, what would it be? 

I would choose teleportation to be my superpower. I would love to be able to instantly travel anywhere in the world and then come back when I need to.
