The GSA-UW serves graduate students and works to enhance the quality of their academic and social experience and promote their well-being. In this effort, the GSA-UW draws on the strengths of graduate students to conduct research, identify the social, financial, academic, environmental, and physiological barriers facing them, and envision a future for graduate education that is more accessible and equitable.
The GSA-UW periodically issues research contracts, holds referenda, distributes surveys, and creates advocacy initiatives, all to incorporate the voice of graduate students into the work of the GSA.
