Dear GSA-UW Members,
Thank you for your participation in the July 19th vote to remove an unresponsive and non-participating director from the GSA-UW Board of Directors.
There were 231 ballots submitted, of which 206 were valid votes. As noted on the ballot, votes were deemed invalid if the name and student numbers entered did not match GSA-UW records. There were 179 votes in favour of the motion, so the motion “BIRT the University of Waterloo Graduate Student Association (GSA-UW) votes to remove [unresponsive director] from the GSA-UW board of directors for violating by-law 5.4.0(b)” passes with 87% of valid ballots in support of the motion. Note that the name was published in full on the ballots.
