Safe Love Week Extended!
Consider this sex-positivity 101! Confidence, Consent and Communication focuses on creating a positive relationship with sex. Learn how to move beyond judgment and stigma to embrace what works for you, and to be more comfortable voicing what doesn’t. We will also discuss how to handle different wants and needs, and how to hear a ‘No’ with compassion. Sex positivity affects our self-image, our ability to communicate and establish boundaries, and gives us permission to approach new experiences with a resounding ‘Yes!’.

This workshop will be facilitated by Rachele Manett of Venus Envy Halifax.

Bio:
Rachele Manett (she/they) is a queer, Jewish, disabled femme, with a passion for sex and pleasure-based sexuality education. Rachele came to Mi’kma’ki (Halifax) in 2011 to study recreation therapy, and stuck around to work on their (recently completed!) Masters degree, exploring disabled sexuality and rehabilitation. Rachele is a community educator at Venus Envy, Halifax’s only education-based sex shop and bookstore, where she runs workshops and webinars on all kinds of sexy topics such as toys, non-monogamy, disabled sexuality, sexting, consent practices, and so much more.
