Whether you’re studying remotely in another city, country, or locally in the Waterloo region, join us in making our very first grad student digital quilt!
Instructions:
Step 1: Start thinking about a drawing, photo, poem, or short story describing where you are in the world right now. This can be a photo of your workspace complete with coffee and papers, a painting of a snowy landscape, a poem about life in your city, and so on… be as creative as you like! Size your creation to 1080 x 1080 pixels. See here for a template.
Step 2: If you need help thinking of ideas or would like a space to work, join us for our Quilt Making Workshop on January 26 from 12:00 – 1:30 pm. The workshop is optional and you do not need to attend in order to submit a piece. The session is also a drop in so come and go as you like. You must register in advance. Registration link.
Step 3: Submit your digital quilt piece by tagging @gsa.uwaterloo and #gsaworldquilt, or email it to gsa-international@uwaterloo.ca by March 8 at 12 pm. Remember to have the piece sized to 1080 x 1080 pixels.
Step 4: Watch a live reveal of the quilt on our Instagram Stories on March 18 at 12 pm!
If you have any questions, please contact Navya at
