The Graduate Student Association – University of Waterloo Council, the social, political, and academic body of the GSA, is calling for nominations for the position of Speaker of the Council.
Interested individuals are invited to submit a résumé or CV and a statement expressing their qualifications and interest in the position by noon on Monday, March 18. Nominees will be invited to meet with the Council Executive Committeeto determine suitability for the position. An election for the position will be held at Council on Wednesday, April 10 at 4pm.
The Speaker of the Council’s workload and pay has historically been 20 hours per month at the current TA rate. The Speaker of the Council will be supported by full- and part-time staff, and the term of office is May 1 to April 30.
