Tyler Hampton (he/him) is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, and in the Collaborative Water Program. Tyler studies the role of disturbances on forested landscapes, including wildfires and harvesting, in impacting water quality and drinking water security for downstream areas and communities.
Tyler has worked with the GSA since 2019. He served as the Corporate Secretary, on the Board of Directors for a two-year term, and as the Speaker of the Council 2021-2022. He believes in the mission of the GSA and in service to fellow graduate students.
Though the GSA has become a community for Tyler, he takes time to relax walking his pet greyhound and birdwatching.
