Fatim Maïga (she/her) is pursuing a master’s degree in the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies. Her interest is in human security and gender equality. She has experience working with local communities in conflict-affected areas to address their needs and promote a culture of peace.
In her role as the GSA International Student Coordinator, Fatim identifies and addresses issues impacting international graduate students. She also hosts monthly events, hoping to create a sense of community for international graduate students while they are living in a foreign country and far from family and friends.
Outside of campus life, she enjoys watching the latest shows, trying different cuisines, and traveling.
