Gláucia Melo (she/her) is a Ph.D. candidate in the department of Computer Science. Her thesis work proposes novel support for software developers in their daily tasks by making them more productive through conversational agent-based strategies that amplify context-awareness.
Professionally, Glaucia has worked in the industry for 15 years before becoming a full-time Ph.D. student with software solutions in the public or private sectors. Glaucia has served as President of the Computer Science Graduate Student Association (CSGSA) and in a lot of other committees at UW.
In her free time, you’ll find her at a crossfit gym, browsing youtube, travelling or playing/watching football (the real one some people call soccer).
