At the Graduate House we serve a range of alcoholic drinks including local craft beer and cider, wine, and other liquor. We also serve a range of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, juices, soft drinks, and non-alcoholic beer. We proudly serve Phil & Sebastian Coffee. Their relentless commitment to quality ensures every cup is exceptional.

Reservations + Group Bookings
Thank you for supporting the Graduate House with your group event! We can host large party reservations for between 10 to 50 people in one of our private rooms. To guarantee a reservation and food order, we require one (1) week’s notice.
Please review the group menu to find several cost-effective options for your party. We require twenty-four (24) hours’ cancellation notice on group food orders, otherwise, the host may be charged.
Outside food and drink are not permitted. Exceptions can be made if approved by the Graduate House ahead of time.
The Graduate House accepts cash, cheque, debit, Visa and Mastercard for payment. We are currently unable to accept payment via Unit 4. Students cannot use their WatCards as payment.
Guests will be required to show government ID (not a copy/photo) for alcohol service.

What makes our selection of craft beers unique?
Our rotating taps are lovingly selected from the local, micro Southwestern Ontario Beer/Cider scene—no faceless corporate breweries allowed!
We feature breweries as near as a 5 minute drive from campus. How cool is that?!
We offer a wide variety of styles and flavour profiles from “hoptacular” to fruity sour, from German Style Wheat to English Style Stout.

How it works:
1. Bring your WATCard to the GH every time you order food.
2. Tap your WATCard at the GH Bar on the new Tap & Go reader before you order.
* All graduate prices and discount offers are subject to change.
Members who opt out of the Graduate House fee are welcome to use the Graduate House space, but will be charged a rental fee for room booking and are ineligible for graduate student price discounts.

About
The Graduate House occupies the original farmhouse (Schweitzer Farmhouse) on the south campus of the University of Waterloo. Affectionately known as the Grad House, the operations are owned by the Graduate Student Association – University of Waterloo (GSA-UW). The Graduate House is a hub for graduate students and their guests in a relaxed social space. It is a popular destination for the entire University of Waterloo community, where patrons can enjoy a home-cooked meal, meet with their peers and colleagues or just spend some time away from the office or lab.
The Graduate House has a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The upper lounge is a great spot for marking papers, celebrating a thesis defense, holding a small presentation or hosting a small social gathering. The fully licensed boardroom is perfect for meetings and small private gatherings. The outdoor rooftop patio is a nice place to unwind and enjoy fresh air. The large main floor features a multi-functional room where grad focused activities are held. The main bar area is an excellent place to drop in to connect with old and new friends.
