Kareem Tarek Mostafa

Coming all the way from the land of the Pyramids, Kareem has obtained his bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering from the American University in Cairo, Egypt.

During his undergraduate life, Kareem served as one of the founding members for the Peer Advising Leader Program, a program aiming to improve the experience of first-year students. With the same passion and drive, Kareem joined the university of Texas at Austin right after finishing his undergraduate education to pursue his Master’s degree where he served as the president of the Graduate Student Association.

Kareem believes that advocacy is primarily a collaborative effort. Therefore, Kareem aims to increase the visibility of GSA by working with existing campus partners and establishing new connections. Thus creating a stronger community for graduate students and having them take active role in the decision-making process regarding issues that would impact their work environment and their overall experience.
